Success StoriesBrianne MorrisSuccess isn’t just about money. It’s about being who you were meant to be. When Brianne Morris was four years old, positive treatment by the family pediatrician inspired her to announce some rather dramatic plans for a career in medicine. But years later, she entered RMU’s School of Nursing—and proved just how serious she’d been. Morris knew she wanted to work with people, and she soon gained the hands-on clinical experience she craves. “I remember our first interaction with the elderly patients, and how appreciative they were. It was gratifying. I could tell that this is what I wanted to do,” she says. At RMU, Morris found her strong desire and natural abilities transformed into a solid foundation for success. As a result of her choice, she has experienced everything from life-saving situations in a hospital to a life-changing mission to Nicaragua. “Being in the clinical setting was a little scary at first, but the faculty were really good about easing us into it. We never went unprepared. We never felt like we were alone.” |
"Freshman year, I had the opportunity to take anatomy, physiology and biochemistry. It was nice we had those nursing classes right off the bat; in some schools, you have to wait until your sophomore year for things like anatomy."Brianne Morris School of Nursing Nursing |
