Success StoriesRay GenslerRay Gensler's four-year list of accomplishments reads like a Monster.com power resume: a 3.91 GPA, Academic All-America by ESPN The Magazine and 2006 Northeast Conference Fall Scholar-Athlete honors, and RMU career sack record. So, what does Gensler do for an encore? "Most important thing of all," he says, "I got a job before graduation." Gensler works for the Pittsburgh office of Deloitte Consulting, assisting in valuations of large industrial and manufacturing operations. "It's all about paying close attention," Gensler says. "My knowledge of the manufacturing side of things helps me to know what I am looking at when it comes to machinery and manufacturing operations." Gensler credits RMU's three NFL-trained football mentors (Head coach Joe Walton, and assistants Dan Radakovic and John Banaszak) with transforming his raw potential into a more polished product. "I came here having never seen a whole lot beyond my little world," Gensler says. "These four years have made me more open to diversity, more cultured and grounded as a person, and someone who pays a lot more attention to detail." |
